Paddington Integrated Project Update
Weston Williamson's work for the Paddington Integrated Project is nearing its first stage of completion. Westminster granted permission to 'Bring into Use' on the 23 January 2012 under the terms of the Crossrail Act.
The Crossrail delivery team, which includes Weston Williamson, Mott Macdonald and Carillion, as well as many subcontractors and representatives from both LU and NR, are all working hard to see the first handover take place in February 2012.   The taxis will then be ready to move from Departures Road to their new base on the north side of the station, this will enable the major construction work to begin for the new Crossrail station.   PIP is a £100m project providing new taxi facilities together with a new station for London Underground, new station entrances, associated public realm and provision for a 17 storey commercial building.
