The site commands a fantastic view over the Aire valley in West Yorkshire and formed the lower part of a back garden to an existing Victorian Villa. |

We were asked to design a contemporary house with a flexible internal layout suitable for a retired couple, which could also accommodate visits from grandchildren. The living accommodation is on the first floor and connects directly onto a deck and garden area at the rear whilst large glazed areas face over the valley. |

The cooking, dining and living areas are open plan with high ceilings up into the roof slope. Due to the sloping site, access to the main entrance is via external steps and onto a timber deck which links with the rear garden. |
