Weston Williamson was commissioned with Mott MacDonald to prepare designs up to Stage C for a new Crossrail Station at Whitechapel. The design locates the new ticket hall above the realigned District Line tracks and widened platforms.		   The ticket hall can be accessed via ramps and stairs. The scheme has the advantage of dual access enabling a better public transport interchange. Three ticket windows are provided and a line of gates in a well organised space. The roof to the ticket hall continues over the refurbished District Line platforms.   The District Line escalators and stairs lead down to the interim concourse and allow access to the East London Line.

At the north of the East London Lines stairs, lifts and escalators access easy interchange with the Crossrail platforms.
