The upgrade to Victoria Station is part of Transport for London’s programme to extend the entire Tube network to ease congestion for London’s growing population. Weston Williamson’s established track record meant that we were commissioned as architects to undertake this prestigious upgrade.  We are providing station planning and architectural design as a sub-consultant to Mott MacDonald who is lead consultant to the main works contractor Vinci/BAM Nuttall JV.

The technical demands of the area include developing structures adjacent to a number of listed buildings and the design is required to be of the highest standard in an area of many local constraints with a high amount of traffic. Our award-winning proposals will develop a new public space in front of the existing station. We have taken an unashamedly contemporary approach to all of the new facilities and sought to develop an elegance that adds a calming influence to an otherwise very busy place.

Awards: British Construction Industry – BIM Award 2012, Bentley Be Inspired Award 2010.
