For the first time in five years, we have had an artwork accepted for the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition, which opens on June 10 and runs until August 12.
This year’s brief from Architecture Room curator Spencer de Grey RA was for buildings which demonstrate a strong sustainable agenda. Our Arcology TOD concept design is a development of the ‘Kissing Towers’, with a high speed railway running directly underneath the three interconnected towers, conveying residents, visitors and workers to a self-sufficient vertical neighbourhood. The acrylic and wood model was made in our model shop by Bruno Gordon.
The Summer Exhibition is the world’s largest open submission art show and brings together art in all mediums – prints and paintings, film, photography, sculpture and architectural works. Around 1,500 works will be on display, most of them for the first time.
