Baking Riverside is a brand new destination and sweet place to live, work and visit all conceived by Network Rail and Weston Williamson + Partners! This riverside community contains a train station, public square and housing ready to be used by hundreds and thousands of commuters each day.
Located by the Wetlands marsh area, there is space for nature, with brightly coloured spruces and pines, new housing with green roofs and planted areas, a state of the art train station and even a small Christmas market in the station square.
Baking Riverside is part of the Museum of Architecture’s Gingerbread City 2021, a mini edible city created by architects, designers and engineers. The aim of the exhibition is to connect the public with architecture through an innovative display designed for the holiday season. The exhibition raises money to support the Museum of Architecture as a charity and helps to create programming, exhibitions and events.
You can visit Baking Riverside and the other amazing confectionary creations from December 4 to January 9 at 6-7 Motcomb Street, Belgravia, London. Tickets are available here: https://www.tickettailor.com/events/museumofarchitecture/587915
