Delivering innovation and quality on brand
In our latest project film we revisit our award winning private student accommodation, Chapter Lewisham, three years after its completion.
The high quality development for Greystar Europe Holdings provides 611 student bedrooms and ground level communal and commercial space in two 12-storey blocks.
Chapter Lewisham is a great example of how offsite modular construction can deliver large scale projects in less time, but to equally high design standards, as traditional construction methods. The decision to use modular construction, as well as close collaboration with our design and build partners Tide Construction, resulted in a 50% uplift in student bed spaces from the original planning application.
The film features Christy Hayes, CEO of Tide Construction, Greystar’s Senior Director Estates Management Jeremy Wright, Senior Real Estate Manager Mandisa Khabo and Chapter Lewisham community manager Edmund Ofori.
Jeremy Wright says: “Chapter is a brand and it’s very important for us to have a building that reflects all of the parts of the brand – community, aspirations and high end. And for us to deliver that, we need to have an architect that works with us and understands those needs, understands us and challenges us sometimes, and that can deliver on the brand. And that is what we have here.”
