WW+P has marked a decade of collaborative working at Paddington Station with the production of a new film about the flagship Paddington Integrated Project (PIP).
PIP brought together four separate projects: a new taxi facility as critical path enabling works for Paddington Crossrail; a higher capacity London Underground station to serve the reconfigured Circle Line; a new entrance from the north to all parts of the station serving demand from Paddington Basin, and the design and future-proofing of an over-site development.
This hugely collaborative effort among multiple stakeholders delivered award-winning architecture in a challenging heritage context. The film features several members of the team including Graham King of Westminster Council, Julie Dakin of Mott MacDonald and Martin Gray, former senior project manager at TfL.
Our work at Paddington continues with the design and delivery of the new Elizabeth line station on Eastbourne Terrace and a new state of the art office and retail building within the heritage fabric of Macmillan House.
