The funding covers the development of the multi-storey car park at the future HS2 Interchange Station site which forms a key part of the Arden Cross Masterplan, a 340 acre development site. Securing the support of central government is a significant milestone as it frees up valuable land that would have been used for a surface level car park, instead allowing it to be used for jobs, and homes.
Arden Cross is a nationally significant development opportunity. Our masterplan will create a world leading economic hub that co-locates business, living and learning within a fantastic new urban realm supported by high quality infrastructure. The site will generate over 30,000 jobs and 2,500 new homes with future workers, residents and visitors benefiting from unparalleled access to air, rail and road travel.
Simon Catton, Partner at Weston Williamson + Partners said “This commitment from central government to fund the multi-storey car park is vital to the development of the site, and the growth of the area.”
