The Great Court student housing scheme takes a vacant plot with little townscape character and delivers a high quality building to support the regeneration and growth of the area. Through careful design the building enhances the streetscape, increases the public realm and provides new commercial facilities at ground floor level delivered using offsite modular construction.
Ash has over 5 years of experience in the residential sector and has been a member of the residential and mixed-use team at WW+P for 4 years. During this time, he has gained valuable experience working from concept to construction. He was recently part of the team that delivered Great Court, a new modular student accommodation building in Bermondsey.
Now based in our Sydney offices, Ash is excited to delve into the wealth of exciting projects in Australia and is hoping to apply his knowledge of residential design to deliver high quality housing.
Ash believes that concept design and technical design need not be mutually exclusive and enjoys combining hand-drawing skills with his technical knowledge. His drawing skills have led him to play an active role in the illustration and competition aspects of studio life, illustrating some of WW+P’s most interesting projects.
Outside of the studio, Ash is fascinated by vernacular architecture and enjoys immersing himself in the culture of a country. He also has a keen interest in all things sport, spending his free time running, cycling, skiing, and playing football.
