Crossrail 2 is the proposed new London high speed, high frequency urban railway connecting South Hertfordshire in the north with the Royal Borough of Kingston/Surrey in the south.
Support our station design team, we developed Transport for London’s business case through a number of feasibility studies examining potential regeneration opportunities around the new stations. Five areas were considered in more detail, with proposals for new homes and jobs, together with improved place-making opportunities.
We focused in on 16 of the new stations, developing the urban integration of the proposals through more detailed analytical studies and urban design possibilities. This led to further commissions for the London Boroughs directly affected by Crossrail, helping them to understand the potential urban growth benefits of the new railway infrastructure.
