We are a design led practice creating and connecting sustainable places for people, working across our five global studios.
Specialising in crafting design solutions we work flexibly and collaboratively with our clients and the wider industry, building on our heritage whilst looking to the future.
We have a shared culture; shared between our people, our clients and across all our projects.
We value and respect each other, working in an open and trusting environment. We encourage and reward behaviour that contributes to the life of our studios and the wider communities in which we work, beyond how well we do our jobs.
We began in 1985 when Andrew and Chris, after meeting in 1975 as students at Leicester, exhibited their joint projects at an RIBA exhibition entitled ’40 under 40’ and an enthusiastic response led to the formation of Weston Williamson. Since then we have grown globally, expanding our range of projects, clients and partners, all embracing our passion for creating sustainable places.
It’s important to us that our work contributes to enduring sustainable places. We actively support local communities through meaningful activity and engagement. As a global practice we work to recognise and embrace the uniqueness of the places in which we work, being mindful of cultural diversity, and working with local communities and stakeholders to deliver collaborative relationships.
We recognise the need to reduce the carbon footprint and environmental impact of our projects through new and regenerative design, and through the way we work in our studios and remotely. Sustainability and well-being are not an add-on for us, but an integral part of our projects and practice.
As a practice we have won or been shortlisted for over 150 awards. We are particularly proud to be presented with the Queen’s Award for Enterprise (International Trade) in acknowledgement of our global growth. We value and appreciate external recognition of our high quality design and exceptional people.
