The new building comprises three additional classrooms, a library and toilet block: Khyaung Primary and Secondary School currently caters for 359 pupils aged 1-17 from six surrounding villages in very cramped and poor conditions.
The completed design is innovative, cost-effective, and low maintenance, pushing the boundaries of what can be built sustainably in rural Cambodia on a low budget, without sacrificing quality or becoming overly complex.
