Beatrix Young has joined WW+P as Associate Partner in the studio’s expanding, award-winning residential team headed up by Philip Breese.  Formerly in a senior role at Farrells, Beatrix brings over 15 years’ experience of design management, design processes and running a team across multiple, mainly residential and mixed-use projects.

Barking Town Centre Masterplan Vision

Barking Station provides a fantastic opportunity to reinvigorate Barking town centre through the transformation of the station and by improving connectivity between neighbourhoods. Working with the client Be First, the proposal will see the creation of a new ambitious masterplan and architectural concept that recognises the unique richness of Barking town centre.

A greener, pedestrian friendly vision for Wimbledon

A new masterplan for Wimbledon town centre, featuring illustrations and mapping by Pablo Sanz Claramunt, has been launched by Future Merton.

WW+P to refurbish the British Embassy in Paris

We are delighted to announce that we are working on the internal refurbishment of the British Embassy in Paris with the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, Mace and Ridge.

Bea heads up the residential team bringing nearly 20 years’ experience leading multidisciplinary teams covering a broad range of project types and budgets. She is currently overseeing a range of projects from housing-led mixed-use schemes for both private developers and local authorities, to commercial and civic projects such as Bank OSD and the design and fit-out of the prestigious British Embassy in Paris.

In recent years Bea has concentrated on the early phases of projects, managing the strategy, feasibility, design, and planning application stages of high value, mixed-use, residential schemes, and urban masterplans. She has developed a particular expertise in understanding and navigating large complex projects, including intricate phasing and residential and community decant strategies. Her residential experience encompasses affordable and high-end.

Bea has strong client liaison expertise and maintains a positive relationship with key stakeholders, especially at Local Authority and GLA level. She is a member of Merton, Wandsworth & Richmond, Newham and Havering Design Review Panels where she brings her focus on design excellence. She has also been a visiting external reviewer at Nottingham University.
